At the very end of April we took a trip down to California San Diego! our neighbors own a timeshare right next to the beach. ( literally RIGHT next to the beach ) and they couldn’t go this year so they told us we could go stay at it if we liked. we stayed for three days and two nights and our aunt and uncle stayed for the last two days cause we had to get home cause my mom was speaking at women’s conference! that is the time share building behind us so as you can see we would walk out of the parking lot and the beach would be right there! 😆
My mom wanted to build a sandcastle as big as us when we were on the beach and she wanted to make it happen so on the second day she said it was dedicated to building that sandcastle, it turned out in the end it wasn’t as tall as us but really cool and we found some pretty cool shells to put on the castle also. baby sisters favorite part was totally finding seashells 😉 she had a whole bag of seashells when she was done ( ha ha )
little brother went metal detecting on the beach and found a couple of cans but then he found a pocket knife! it was really cool and he was really happy that he found something cool. Everybody always lose their stuff on the beach and then it sinks in the sand so the beach is the perfect place to go metal detecting. 🙂
here is us working on the sandcastle.
for the beach and California it was actually not hot at all! I spent most of the time on the sand relaxing with a book and then finding seashells with baby sis. the water was a little bit chilly but the other kids didn’t seem to mind and went ( tried to anyway ) boogie boarding with a board someone left behind in our apartment room. little brother did it the most and probably succeeded a couple times only though ( he he )
in the early morning you would wake up and look out the window and see soooo many surfers on the sea, it was pretty awesome to watch 😉 our time share room had a HUUGGE window. One of the nights we went and walked along the boardwalk and along where stores and restaurants where, let me just say oh boy was it messy, there was trash everywhere and all the railing and stuff where nasty, we walked past a bar and police were there and little sister was really scared and she told herself that she would never live in California or a big city, she wants to live in a small city like where we live now. That is a picture of the night when we went on a walk. little sister was rollerblading the whole way and oh boy she is crazy good on those skates, I can skate but not as well as her at all and she can also do cool spins and jumps and other stuff. she saw this guy with light up rollerblades and said “nice skates” and then rode off but we heard the guy talking about how good little sister could ride and it was crazy. little sister liked that part of the ride ( ha ha )
little brother skateboarded the whole time 😉
here are some seashells that little sister and little brother 2 found that still had those living things inside them ( eww )
they are really pretty though.
and they had a really really cool way of presenting it! they would show a video in a room that looked like a forest camp ground and then they would say the
that we were off to war and then they would take you to the next room that looked like a cabin they would stay in during war and then they would show us another video in that room and it kept on going, and there was like 4 rooms! it was pretty cool! In the war cabin one little brother 2 ( who is obsessed with army guys ) got to be dressed up with all of the stuff they had to carry and wear out to war, he loved it.
We also went to this really tiny museum. it was a whole entire town miniature!
there were buttons on the sides that you could push and it would make something in the town move or lights turn on 🙂
there was a part of it was the town in the night and the other half was the town in day.
the next day we decided that we might as well leave that day instead staying another day cause it was just raining and so we couldn’t play on the beach or anything so we took off to st george. we stayed at a hotel there. we went to Pioneer park, we go there every single time we go to St. George 🙂
then we got some smoothies and then we headed home 😉
and that was the end of the trip! 😀
